After a year of hard work i have finally completed all coursework. In the last week its has just been manic with corrections and re-do's being thrown at me from everyone and only having a short period of time for them to be completed. I am proud that i have kept this blog going all year and do hope this has been enough to hit the criteria involved as it is the only thing that hasnt been vaguely marked yet.
I have enjoyed this year alot of the time and am just happy that all the work i have done is going to be accounted for.

Its starting to get closer and closer to the end of the year and the final coursework deadlines and things are looking okay in terms of how much coursework i've done and how much i am understanding the course.

This week i have just really been focusing on corrections and aiming to hit those criteria missed in my first attempts. Alot of the corrections i were given were only minor and only needed slight tweaking however one or two merit criteria is in need of alot of attention.
I completed all corrections for unit 2 after not recieving any pass or merit criteria and am proud of the work i have managed to complete. What i find about unit 2 is that it is a very difficult unit and alot of thought is needed due to the amount of depth involved hoever i do enjoy the practical and hands on side of the unit and this may have influenced what i may do in my future life.

I got my first 2 assignments back from unit 2 and have managed not to hit all of the p's. I thought i'd at least obtain 1 or 2 of them but obviously i didnt work hard enough. Most of the class however did get the same results as i did so its making me believe that the teacher may have given harsh marks to make us improve our work alot more than usual. I can quite easily improve all the work given back to me so it should all be okay.

After starting my new weekend, part time job i now feel it has focused me more, not only within the job but at college aswell. While i was in full-time employment last year i realised that it was putting me in the mood to focus and in the mood to actually fulfill written assignments and enjoy doing it and now i have got this job i believe it has put me back in that sane frame of mind.

I have been offered a bar job today as i have just turnt 18 on the 19th so i am quite happy about this but just hope it wont get in the way of me doing my college work. Ive always wanted to work behind a bar as a part time job and now i have got the opportunity i am hoping either to continue with this job until university or try and work my way into other positions with higher companies and more challenging work.

I've caught up in most of my assignments that have been set. Unit 35 i have found really hard so i am only going to aim for the P's in this assignment. I have attempted most of the p's but am also finding these to be quite challenging. I am beginning to fall behind on unit 2 however as i have managed to completely forget about the third assignment being set and now i have limited time to complete it.

Today i have been handed back my Unit 34 assignment and have managed to hit the M criteria and achieve an overall Merit. Although i am pleased with this result i am also a bit disappointed i didnt achieve a distinction especially when it was actually attempted.
The university course i have decided to target for is a software engineering course based in Brighton University. With this course i will have to obtain a DMM overall in this BTEC course. With expectations like this put on me i am definately starting to feel the pressure mounting and hope i dont fall short at the end of the 2 years.

14th January 2010

Since i have been back at college after the christmas break i have been given alot of assignments back. I recieved an M overall in my e-commerce unit and completed it before anyone else which i am very pleased about, however i do think i should of made more of an effort and properly attempted the distinction criteria as the e-commerce assignment seemed to me to be one of the easier units. I found Davids unit "Unit 15" to be quite a difficult assignment and have been given this back hitting all the P's and M's minus 1 which just need brief editing to complete the unit with a merit grade. I am very pleased about my progress to this date.

28th December 2009

By the time i completed my winter term in college i had come up to date in every assignment, achieving a merit at least in each. I also completed my last day in my weekend job placement at John Lewis on the 21st but have had an interview to entend my stay there.
This year as a whole so far has been a very influencial year for me and has helped me alot to understand the requirement needed of me to succeed in both my college work and my weekend job. The college work has been a surprise for me as i thought i would struggle alot, however i am actually finding the work reasonable and am, in my view, keeping up to date with everything.
